Burrata at Lulu Restaurant in Sag Harbor.

Cheese lovers, rejoice. ’Tis the season for winter burrata.

At Lulu Kitchen & Bar in Sag Harbor — located at 126 Main Street — that means edible accoutrements such as honey roasted acorn squash, black mission figs, hazelnuts, fried sage, pumpkin seed oil and fig balsamic vinegar, mingling together on the plate and palate.

“For me, the flavor is the sweetness of the fig, the acorn squash that is very rich in texture — it’s not creamy — and has this nuttiness to it,” explained executive chef Philippe Corbet. “The freshness of the burrata, the cream and the milk, pair very well with these flavors. It’s very full.”

The starter is available for $17 during lunch and dinner, as well as the late night menu. For more information, please call (631) 725-0900 or visit lulusagharbor.com.
