Real Estate Veteran Changes Agencies
Rima Mardoyan Smyth — who has lived and worked on the East End for the past three decades — recently switched allegiances from Brown Harris Stevens to Douglas Elliman, where she is now settling into her Bridgehampton office.
Raised in Europe, Smyth studied law and history at the Fine Arts Academy in Hamburg, and can speak five languages: German, English and Armenian fluently, and French and Spanish conversationally.
“An accomplished artist, her own work can be found in major collections and museums,” according to a press release. “Her unique, cosmopolitan perspective and artistic sensibility add to her success in the business of real estate.”
During her free time, she loves to cook and entertain at her home in Sag Harbor, where she raised her two sons, and can often be found practicing yoga, Pilates and biking, or relaxing at the beach.

More Douglas Elliman News!
For nearly a decade, Douglas Elliman Real Estate has lived at 752 Montauk Highway in Montauk.
The real estate firm recently announced that its new location — 99 The Plaza in Montauk — will triple its square footage, comfortably accommodating 25 agents and better suiting the growing needs of the business, explained Vice President of Sales for the Hamptons Carl Benincasa in a press release.
“Douglas Elliman continues to dominate Hamptons real estate and with this latest office expansion we are building upon our growing success,” Benincasa said. “We are so excited to boost our presence in such a beautiful and important part of the East End community. And, as our new location is almost four times the size of our existing Montauk space, it will provide an even more inviting atmosphere for our agents, clients, and the community.”
The new office, formerly home to Calypso, will be open by early this summer, making it the largest real estate office in the hamlet. For more information, please visit elliman.com.
Tarbet & Lester Expands Practice
