Get Rowdy For The Oscars

Now through Sunday, March 4, expect a little extra something with your tab at Rowdy Hall in East Hampton.

Located at 10 Main Street in the Parrish Mews, the restaurant is in the throes of its annual “Rowdy & The Oscars” ballot contest, where paying customers can fill out an Oscar ballot and submit it with a host, manager, server or bartender. Whoever correctly predicts the most awards will receive a $50 gift certificate and two movie vouchers. In the event of a tie, a drawing will be held.

Five Course Whole Pig Dinner Featuring Macari Vineyards and Winery

Almond, located at 1 Ocean Road in Bridgehampton, will host a five-course whole pig dinner featuring Macari Vineyards and Winery wines on Thursday, February 22 at 7 p.m.

The menu selection, which is subject to change, includes Pork Rind, in the style of Cheetos, paired with a 2014 “Horses” Sparkling Cabernet Franc; Italian Wedding Soup, in the style of Campbells, paired with a 2015 Chardonnay Estate; Bridgehampton Basement Charcuterie, in the style of Hormel, with a 2016 Rose; Art’s Cheesy Ravioli and Spicy Ragu, in the style of Chef Boyardee, accompanied by a 2014 Cabernet Franc Reserve; Pork Leg Confit and Jen’s Apple Harissa, in the style of Waffle House, with a 2014 Syrah; and Pork Fat, Chocolate, Death Wish Coffee Cake, in the style of Entenmann’s, finished with a 2012 Block E Red.

WordHampton Continues Winning Streak

WordHampton Public Relations recently earned several awards — a platinum MARCom award, a gold AVA Digital Award, and a FOLIO award — for its program on the 40th anniversary of National Handwriting Day, as celebrated by the Writing Instrument Manufacturers Association.

The East Hampton firm’s restaurant launch of Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza in Staten Island and its placement with The New York Times that showcased two clients, Pristine Pools and pool and landscape designer Bill D’Agata in the piece “Hamptons Homes Blur the Line Between Inside and Out,” were also recognized with platinum MARCom awards.
