There will be an opening reception for Andrea Kowch’s solo exhibition “Into the Wind,” on August 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Richard J. Demato Gallery in Bridgehampton. All of Kowch’s nine original paintings have already sold, sight unseen. Collectors will fly in from around the world to view their acquisitions for the first time with Kowch’s many admirers.
“Inspired by memories, inner emotions, history and my fascination with nature and the human psyche, the stories behind my paintings stem from life’s emotions and experiences resulting in narrative, allegorical imagery that illustrates the parallels between human experience and the mysteries of the natural world,” Kowch said in a statement.
Her collectable limited edition print collection will also be on display and along with two new prints, “Gust” and “Nocturne,” both available in editions of 10.
In a neighboring exhibition space within the gallery, Columbian artist and poet, Armando Valero’s exhibit, “El Viento Inquieto,” will also be featured. Kowch and Valero will both attend the opening reception.
