The Breakwater Yacht Club hosted the 37th Annual Sag Harbor Cup Regatta on Saturday, June 15, in the waters off Sag Harbor, with a local boat, Gossip, a J109 skippered by Steve and Liam Kenny, winning the overall title as well as the top spinnaker class. Boogie Van, an Express 27 captained by Jody LoCascio, won spinnaker class 2 while Impulse, a Sabre 402 led by Andrew Baris, won the non-spinnaker class. A total of 25 boats finished the race, with some having to withdraw as wind gusts reached 40 mph near Shelter Island.

The event and post-race party at the club on Bay Street in Sag Harbor is held every year as a fundraiser for the club to offer sailing scholarships to local students.
