‘A Star Is Born,’ Again and Again

For months, Lady Gaga has captivated the country with her lead role in “A Star Is Born,” winning an Oscar for her original song, “Shallow.”

But she was not the first — and, most certainly, she will not be the last.

Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand came before her and, now, a trio of Broadway’s best voices will come after her, joining forces at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor on Saturday, April 13, at 8 p.m. to celebrate the music from all three iconic film versions.

The concert, which begins at 8 p.m., will feature Farah Alvin, as seen in Broadway’s “It Shoulda Been You,” “Ruben and Clay’s Christmas Show,” “Nine,” and others; Jessica Hendy, who played the role of Grizabella in “Cats,” in both the original Broadway run and the 2016 revival cast; and Kelli Rabke, who was handpicked by Andrew Lloyd Webber to play the lead role of the Narrator in the Broadway revival of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” before going on to star in “Les Misérables” as Eponine, her dream role, on Broadway.

Additional cast includes Alex Getlin, John Boswell, Ashton Michael Corey and Scott Coulter. Advance tickets are $35, or $45 at the door. For more information, call (631) 725-9500 or visit baystreet.org.
