Weeknight Hot Burritos at Estia’s Little Kitchen

Estia’s Little Kitchen kicked off a casual out-door dining experience last week, the summer pop-up known as Estia’s Hot Burrito. This unique spot gives people a chance to enjoy the restaurant’s back garden Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 5 to 9 p.m. The special menu features burritos, tacos and quesadillas with cocktails like margaritas and palomas with a summer twist.

Hot Burrito night will also host special events each week like free live music and wine tastings from local distributors like Palmer and Macari Vineyards. The pop-up will move inside if there is rain.

“My friend Abby and I have been working very hard to get ready for the Hot Burrito program. All of June we were working on getting signs made and contacting people to organize live music nights and beer and wine tastings. Next Tuesday marks our first live music night with Hamptons Jam, and Wednesday marks our first tasting featuring Greenport Brewery. The pop up will run until the end of August,” Holly Zappola, who helped organize this year’s Hot Burrito lineup at Estia’s, which is owned by chef and restauranteur Colin Ambrose.

“What I really want is for there to be a buzz about this space. We have such a beautiful garden and it is a perfect place for families to get together and be outside. Now that we have cocktails on the menu we hope that is will be a place where friends can gather for chips, guac and margaritas too,” she added.

The back garden has a casual atmosphere and games like Frisbee, corn hole, football and hula-hoops. Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets for a picnic, or get an outside table.

Estia’s Little Kitchen is open for breakfast and lunch Mondays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and dinner Thursday to Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Hot Burrito nights are Monday through Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. Estia’s Little Kitchen located at 1615 Sag Harbor Turnpike in Sag Harbor.
