Free HIV Testing Announced at Southampton Hospital
Each year, on June 27, Southampton Hospital observes National HIV Testing Day, uniting with partners, health departments, and other organizations to raise awareness about the importance of HIV testing and early diagnosis by offering free HIV tests.
Southampton Hospital and Rose Walton Care Services at David E. Rogers, MD Center encourages HIV testing throughout the year, ensuring that people get tested for HIV, know their status, and get linked to care and treatment services if necessary.
The David E. Rogers, MD Center provides comprehensive medical, mental health and support services to adults living with HIV/AIDS. The Center assists with legal, housing and other social service needs, and also provides confidential HIV testing, Hepatitis C treatment and Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) care. The Center’s mission is to provide accessible, compassionate, comprehensive, state-of-the-art care to people living with HIV infection and to provide quality services in a caring atmosphere while maintaining confidentiality and respect for each patient as an individual. Private insurance plans, Medicare, Medicaid, and ADAP Plus are accepted. No one is denied care for lack of financial resources.
HIV testing at the David E. Rogers, MD Center will be free on June 27 and, as always, confidential. For more information and to schedule an appointment, call (631) 287-5990 or visit southamptonhospital.org.
