From pocketknives to pearl necklaces, Copious Row strives to offer Sag Harbor shoppers unique gifts for anyone on their list, including themselves. “It’s not just a pop up,” affirmed David Chines, the owner of the unisex boutique on Friday. He opened up shop in May after moving to East Hampton full-time. A former summer resident with a background in public relations and brand strategy in the fashion industry, Mr. Chines said he has worked with large luxury brands such as Givenchy, Kenzo, Pucci, and Fendi.

The business had already been established last May, launched as a men’s accessories website. The name “Copious” fits the site’s selections, which has extensive, lavish choices. Online gifts can be selected there by price, material, or ‘Type of man’ with choices including The Businessman, The Traveler, The Outdoorsman, The Entertainer, or The Man Who Has It All.

From virtual to brick and mortar, Copious Row has come to real time right across from the Bulova Watchcase building on Washington Street, within a renovated 1800s carriage house. “The space itself was really a draw, it is really unique and special,” said Mr. Chines.

The shop offers some of the items that can be found within their online mostly-men’s store, as well as a substantial selection of women’s items. The shift happened, said Mr. Chines, “as we got to know the customer and what they were looking for.”

Unique home essentials and accents can also be found both in store and online with categories that include Barware, Office, Technology, Stationery & Pens, Décor, Throws & Pillows, Trays & Bowls, Kitchen, Storage, Knives, Beach, and Games. As seen in their “Grooming” category, an ample supply of body, hair, and shaving products are also available for purchase.

The well-lit store boasts Brooklyn-built beach bags and British-born sunglasses with solid wood frames that sit upon clean lines of metal shelving. There are also not-so-typical boutique offerings such as electronics. Pointing to retro-styled, high quality headphones on a stand, Mr. Chinese said, “These are beautiful to look at and the sound quality is great.”

Unique cufflinks, such as those with astronauts or jet planes, are amongst the jewels that sparkle in cases along the exterior walls, alongside irresistible one-of-a-kind eclectic purses and scarves.

From fine to costume, “It’s not news that women really love jewelry,” said Mr. Chines, and he has a wide range to choose from. Bold, Italian beaded necklaces with magnetic clasps are selling very well, he said, and he immediately sold half of his stock in metal, long-chained phone cases that can be worn on the shoulder as a purse.

“Whether it is United States, Italy, or Mexico, his theme is to source “beautiful, unique, rare and well made products,” Mr. Chines said. He enjoys giving some of his small treasures a worldwide view on the web.

Grab-and-go lifestyle accessories at the new village shop include luggage, swimwear, ready-to-wear linen shirts, long sleeve t-shirts, and sweatshirts. “Men love them, women love to buy them for men,” Mr. Chines said.

“Every man is in love with this,” said Mr. Chines on Friday, pointing out an upscale, leather barbecue set made in France with a roll-up carry case. He also said that he is excited and honored to sell the Karl Lagerfeld candle collection. “I am the only person in the country that carries the pieces,” he said, after being chosen personally by the Chanel designer.

Women have been devouring his selection of super soft scarves and handmade designer, diamond necklaces from Los Angeles, Mr. Chinese said. He looks forward to increased visits when he no longer competes with the ocean. For now, he said traffic is at its height with those who walk in after lunch.
